Silverwood / Scarywood Theme Park wrap up…
I am the Halloween art director for Silverwood theme park in Athol, Id. 2010- present. From concept and design artist, build team, actor training, directing the build of attractions and live shows. I also set up the FX shop and brought in my friend Kelly Mann the ” mask Doctor” to partner and help create the countless custom monsters designed exclusively for Scarywood theme park that could be seen no where else !
Not only did we take care of the FX shop and build/work the makeup team/ This year I suggested we take the park decorating up 3 levels with scares around every corner and even more fall Them throughout ! IT turned out beautiful. I designed the concept for the parks newest attraction ” Mind Warp”..the maze and The indoor haunt I helped build last year was greatly improved and changed. I got to transform the Terror Canyon into my surprise Freak Farm which terrified guests to no end. The Zombiewood Express written and directed by Nick Norton was a super cool show that I hope everyone got to see. I did the work on every one of the hero actors costumes and makeup, along with our FX shop making ALL the zombie costume parts used..The amount of help and teamwork at the park this year was great. It took such a large team of talented people with great ideas to all pull together and We definately put on the best show yet ! I cannot even start to give names but you know who you are and Thank you all for all the hard work to make changes, improvements, and getting it done right this time. IT paid off. THANK YOU . We got great comments all night long, EVERY NIGHT and now the reviews are being posted. Being TEAM MEMBERS and working together is what it is all about, thank you for that this year. All of our hard work paid off and we saw the park fill up every weekend and had a fun time scaring their pants off…. just wait till next year !
